7 Covid deaths, 446 cases recorded in 24 hours

At least 446 new infections were recorded and seven people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 2.23 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.36 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,096 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,48,148, added the release.

A total of 19,964 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 3,062 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,49,946 and the recovery rate at 94.96 percent, added the release.

Of the seven deceased, five were male and two were female.

Of them, one was between 31-40, one was between 51-60, and two were within 61-70 years old and three were between 71-80 years old, added the release.
