64 new Covid cases in 24 hours, positivity rate 1.35%

No Covid-19 deaths were reported in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,131 and the mortality rate is 1.49 percent.

At least 64 new Covid-19 infections were recorded in these 24 hours which took the total number of cases to 19,53,935 according to the release.

The current positivity rate is 1.35 percent and the total positivity rate stands at 13.79 percent, added the press release.

A total of 4,755 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 145 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,05,065 and the recovery rate at 97.50 percent, added the release.
