3 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours, positivity rate 15.59%

Three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,198 and the death rate stands at 1.47 percent.

At least 939 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during this period.

The current positivity rate is 15.59 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.77 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,89,040, added the release.

A total of 6,024 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 837 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,12,204 and the recovery rate at 96.14 percent, said the release.

Among the deceased, one was a male and two were females. Of them, one was between 11-20 years and two were between 61-70 years old, added the release.
