2 Covid deaths in 24 hours, current positivity rate 8.36%

At least 620 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Bangladesh in 24 hours till 8am today.

With the new infections, the total number of Covid-19 cases rose to 20,00,899, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 8.36 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

A total of 7,419 samples were tested across the country during this period.

Two people died from Covid-19 during this period, said the release.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,258 and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent.

At least 1,765 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,33,259 and the recovery rate at 96.62 percent, added the release.

The two deceased were male and they were between 81-90 years old, according to the release.
