13 deaths, 2,150 cases reported in 24 hours

At least 2,150 new infections were recorded and 13 people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 8.31 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.65 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,944 and the mortality rate stands at 1.50 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,31,304, added the release.

A total of 24,698 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 7,478 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 17,45,332 and the recovery rate at 90.37 percent, added the release.

Of the 13 deceased, seven were male and six were female.

Of them, one each was between 31-40, 41-50 and 51-60 and 10 were above 60 years old, added the release.
