1 Covid-19 death, 1,104 new cases reported in 24 hours

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,250 and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent.

At least 1,104 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during this period.

The current positivity rate is 12.20 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,99,395, added the release.

A total of 9,047 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 1,242 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,29,892 and the recovery rate at 96.52 percent, said the release.

The lone deceased was a woman aged between 61-70 years old, added the release.
