Selena Gomez praises Miley Cyrus at ‘Hannah Montana’ anniversary special
Selena Gomez reunited with Miley Cyrus for the 20th anniversary of “Hannah Montana”. The special premiered on March 24 on Disney+ and Hulu.
They returned to the recreated Stewart house set. Gomez hugged Cyrus and asked, “How do you feel?” Cyrus replied, “Excited that you’re here.”
They sat on the green couch and talked about their past scenes. Both said their characters were very “vicious” to each other. Gomez said, “I don’t think they would get away with saying half of that stuff.” She also added, “I was so mean, I’m sorry!” Cyrus replied, “We can make amends.”
Cyrus later gave Gomez the red hat worn by Mikayla in her first appearance. The moment added to the nostalgia of the reunion.
Gomez also spoke about Cyrus’ music. She said, “I had the whole ‘Meet Miley’ album. It was, like, my life.” She then added, “You created culture, babe.” Cyrus responded, “You, too.”
Cyrus became famous through “Hannah Montana”. Gomez rose to fame with “Wizards of Waverly Place”.
The reunion highlighted their shared past and lasting impact on fans.
