Eid drama ‘Je Bandhon Jaay Na Chhera’ to stream on YouTube

An Eid special telefilm titled “Je Bandhon Jaay Na Chhera” has been produced by Rangan Music for release during the upcoming Eid celebrations.


The drama is written by Shafikur Rahman Shantanu and jointly directed by Amitabh Ahmed Rana and Subrata Mitra. The cast includes Abul Hayat, Irfan Sajjad, Sunerah Binte Kamal, SM Ashraful Alam Sohag, Reshma Ahmed, Azam Khan, Iftekhar Palash, Azizul Islam, Rajib Natraj, Sujon Bhowmik and child artiste Ibrahim.


Filming took place in several areas of Dhaka, including Uttara, Mirpur and Agargaon, between March 3 and March 5.


The story centres on the complexities of family relationships in urban life. Hayat Sahib, a man in his sixties who spent most of his life working in a small town, sold his property to educate his only son Jafar in Dhaka. Now settled in the capital with his wife Tumpa, Jafar welcomes his ailing father into his home after his mother’s death. However, the pressures and realities of city life gradually create tensions within the family.


Director Subrata Mitra said the drama portrays the emotional bond between a father and his son, highlighting how limited circumstances can challenge even the deepest affection.


Cinematography for the project was handled by Suman Hossain, with editing by Ramzan Ali and background score by Prottay Khan. The telefilm is produced by Md Jamal Hossain.


“Je Bandhon Jay Na Chhera” will be released during Eid on the Rangan Entertainment YouTube channel.
