BLACKPINK earns spot on Billboard’s 2025 honour list
Global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has secured a rare distinction by becoming the only K-pop group to receive an Honourable Mention on Billboard’s “Greatest Pop Stars of 2025” list.
The recognition comes at a high point for the four-member group — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa — who are preparing to release their third mini-album “Deadline” later this month, following a widely successful comeback tour.
BLACKPINK’s inclusion places them alongside some of the biggest names in Western pop music, including Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, SZA, ROSALÍA and Chappell Roan — underscoring the group’s crossover impact beyond the K-pop industry.
According to Billboard, BLACKPINK had an influential 2025 both as a group and as solo artistes. Their track “Jump” broke into the top 30 of the Hot 100, while the group’s tour reaffirmed their global pull.
Individually, Jennie drew attention with high-profile solo performances, while Lisa and Jisoo expanded their presence through acclaimed acting projects. Although Rosé did not release new solo music in 2025, her collaboration “APT” with Bruno Mars continued its remarkable run, peaking at No 3 on the Hot 100, earning Grammy attention and finishing the year as the top song on Billboard’s Global 200 chart.
With their upcoming release and continued international recognition, BLACKPINK’s Billboard honour further cements their position as one of the most influential pop acts of the decade.
