Moushumi to star in road-trip thriller film ‘A Beautiful Lie’

Dhallywood actress Moushumi, who has been living in the United States for nearly three years, has joined a new film titled “A Beautiful Lie”.

Noyeem Imtiaz Neamul will write and direct the film. The project was initially planned as a telefilm, but the makers are now considering developing it as a feature-length film. The screenplay is being developed accordingly, with shooting expected to begin soon.

Moushumi has previously worked under Neamul's direction while she was in Bangladesh. Neamul is now based in the United States, where he has developed the new project with the actress.

Moushumi has continued to work in the US alongside spending time with her mother, sister and daughter. She has previously appeared in music videos, telefilms and films shot there.

Describing “A Beautiful Lie”, Moushumi said, “‘A Beautiful Lie’ is essentially a road-trip story. It is a thriller. Everything that happens in the story happens around a lie. Even so, the moments are enjoyable. That is why it has been named ‘A Beautiful Lie’.”

She added, “We initially thought of making it as a telefilm, but eventually it may become a feature film. Whatever the format, audiences will get an enjoyable story.”
