Bhabna attends Moscow Film Festival for the first time
Actress Ashna Habib Bhabna is currently in Russia along with director Asif Islam and producer Jannatul Baker Khan for their film “King in the Land of the Princess”. The team is attending the 48th Moscow International Film Festival.
This marks Bhabna’s debut at the prestigious international event with a film she has acted in—something she considers a significant milestone in her acting career.
The film, starring Bhabna, has been officially selected in the Artcore section of the festival. Last Thursday, she, along with the team, also walked the red carpet as part of the film’s cast.
A special screening of the film will be held today (Saturday), where prominent international filmmakers, critics, and producers are expected to attend.
The project holds particular significance for Bhabna, as this is the first time a film featuring her is being showcased at an international festival outside Bangladesh. Speaking about the achievement, she said, “For us as Bangladeshis, having any of our films selected at a prestigious festival like Moscow is a matter of pride for all of us. This work is a little more special to me.”
Bhabna also shared her approach to acting. According to her, she does not focus on awards or recognition while working on a character; instead, she concentrates on bringing the role to life. “I always try to internalise the character,” she said. “As an actor, I don’t confine the character within my personal self.”
