Transport strike in Ctg on Tuesday

Transport workers today called a strike in Chittagong division on November 29 to press their nine-point demand including setting up terminal for all modes of the motorised vehicle at a convenient place.

The 24-hour strike will begin at 6:00am in Chittagong city, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban simultaneously, said Mohammad Musa, Chittagong regional president of Bangladesh Sarok Paribahan Sramik Federation.

Musa made the announcement at a press conference at the Chittagong Press Club this afternoon.

Other demands include registration of the unregistered CNG-run auto-rickshaws and finalising daily deposit for three-wheeler at Tk 600.
