Three murdered in dists
Three people, including a newlywed housewife, were murdered in different incidents in Pirojpur, Dinajpur and Faridpur yesterday.
Our Pirojpur Correspondent reports, a housewife was killed allegedly by her husband in Pirojpur town yesterday.
The deceased, Moni Akhter, 16, wife of Mizanur Rahman Sujan of Khanakuniary area, is also a Class IX student at Korimunnesa Girls' High School in the town.
Deceased's father Abdul Khaleque said the couple got married around four months back, following a love affair.
Khaleque said around 10:00am Sujan's father Habibur Rahman phoned him and said his daughter is sick.
Hearing the news he went to their house and found Moni in an unconscious state and took her to Pirojpur Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared her dead, the added.
Officer-in-Charge Masumur Rahman of Sadar Police Station said they will take lawful steps after getting the autopsy report.
Our Dinajpur correspondent adds, unidentified criminals stabbed a trader to death in Parbatipur upazila of the district early yesterday.
The deceased is Ali Mortaza Milon, 40, son of Shahjahan Ali of Bashpukur village in the upazila.
One his way home from his shop, criminals waylaid Milon, stabbed him indiscriminately and looted his valuables, leaving his dead on the spot, police said.
Officer-in-Charge Mostaque Hossain of Parbatipur Police Station said locals spotted Milon's body in a paddy field yesterday morning and informed the police.
In another incident, police recovered the body of a timber trader from Kalibari area in Saltha upazila of Faridpur yesterday.
The deceased is Askan Sardar, 45, son of late Mazid Sardar of Atghar village in the upazila.
Askan's wife Rokeya Begum said her husband went out of his house on Tuesday afternoon and did not return home.
Villager's spotted Askan's body in the area and informed the police, said Officer-in-Charge Belayet Hossain of Saltha Police Station.
