Third Ashulia factory fire victim dies

A female worker, who sustained burns in a factory fire in Ashulia on November 22, died undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka raising the death toll of the incident to three.

Mahmuda, 18, succumbed at the high dependency unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital's burn unit around 8:30am, Bachchu Miah, a sub-inspector of the hospital's police outpost, said.

At least 26 female workers were injured after the fire broke out at Colour Match BD Ltd in the Girabo area of Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka around 4:25pm yesterday.
