Rajshahi ethnics protest attack on Santals

Ethnic minorities and locals of Rajshahi today formed human chain in city protesting the attack on the Santal people in Gaibandha's Gobindaganj upazila.
Jatiya Adivasi Parishad organised the human chain as part of a programme being observed in the 16 northern districts of greater Rajshahi division in the country today.
The ethnic community people along with locals joined the chain in the city's Shaheb Bazar Zero point this morning, reports our Rajshahi staff correspondent from the spot.
On November 6, police fired and lobbed teargas shells during an eviction drive at the Shahebganj sugarcane farm in the upazila leaving at least two Santals killed and several others injured. 
Protesting the eviction, Santals at the time shot arrows at police and mill labourer injuring 25 people, including policemen.
