Lightning kills two

Two people were killed by lightning at Dakkhin Betgari village in Gangachhara upazila of Rangpur district. 

The deceased are Mominul Islam, 23, son of Bachchan Mia, and Hasibul Islam, 18, son of Monabbar Hossain of the village. 

Locals said a thunderbolt struck the duo when they were returning home around 9:30pm on Tuesday. 

The victims were rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where they died yesterday morning.
