JSC examinee raped

A Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinee was raped allegedly by a neighbour at Dharia Belsara village in Baliadangi upazila of the district on Saturday.

Victim's father Jahangir Alam filed a case with Baliadangi Police Station in this connection yesterday, accusing alleged rapist Shajahan, 28, his father Abdul Baten, 50, and mother Sufia Khatun, 42.

OC Mostafizur Rahman said the victim's father stated in the case statement that Shajahan called his 13-year-old girl out of her reading room while she was studying at night and raped her in a nearby place.

Hearing the screams of the girl, her father rescued her and caught Shajahan red-handed. Later, a group of people, including Shajahan's father, took Shahjahan away from Jahangir's house.
