Dinajpur temple looted

Criminals looted gold ornaments worth about Tk 1 lakh from a temple in Natunbazar area under Birampur upazila of the district early yesterday.

A gang of burglars entered Radha-Gobinda temple by breaking its locks between 1:00am to 3:00am and looted the gold ornaments of the deities, said Adhir Chandra Banarjee, priest of the temple.

On information, Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM Moniruzzaman and Officer-in-Charge of Birampur Police Station Mokhlesur Rahman visited the spot.
