3 militants’ bodies handed over to Anjuman Mufidul Islam
Bodies of three militants, including that of Dhaka attack plotter Tamim Chowdhury, were handed over to charity body Anjuman Mufidul Islam today for burial.
The bodies, which had been kept at the morgue of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) for four months, were handed over to the charity organisation for burial as nobody claimed them.
"We handed over three bodies to Anjuman Mufidul Islam for burial at 3:00pm," Dr Sohel Mahmud, head of forensic medicine department at DMC, told The Daily Star.
Nurul Amin, a duty officer of Anjuman Mufidul Islam, received the bodies from the morgue of DMC. Sources said the bodies will be buried at Jurain graveyard.
The bodies were carried in a van towards the graveyard, escorted by Police Bureau of Investigation.
Earlier on August 27, three militants including Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury, a mastermind of Gulshan café attack, were killed during a joint forces' raid at a house in Narayanganj Sadar upazila.
