2 abductors to die in Comilla

A tribunal here on Wednesday sentenced two people to death for killing a schoolboy in 2013. Judge of Comilla Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Aziz Ahmed Bhuiya pronounced the verdict.

The convicts are Mahe Alam Nayan and Kuddus Alam Rabin.

According to the prosecution, Shihab, a Class IV student of a local school and son of Nazrul Islam of Ratnabati village, was picked up by a gang of criminals on January 27 in 2013.

The abductors demanded Tk 50 lakh as ransom from Nazrul.

Four people were later held. Following their confessional statements, police recovered Shihab's body from a septic tank on February 4 in 2013.
