BCL leader bashes fellow's head in for misbehaviour

Delwar Hossain alias Dels, vice president of Bangladesh Chhatra League at Rajshahi University and general secretary of BCL's Madar Bux Hall unit, yesterday bashed a junior leader on the head, accusing the latter of misbehaving with him.
Dels admitted that he beat up Hazrat Ali, organising secretary of the hall unit BCL. Ali allegedly threatened the dining hall manager when asked for a due bill of Tk 100. On information, when Dels inquired about it, Ali misbehaved with him, alleged Dels. Later, RU BCL President Mizanur Rahman and Acting General Secretary Khaled Hasan Biplob sat down with the two in the hall where at one stage of an altercation, Dels struck Ali in the head with a lock.
Ali who had two stitches for his wounds at Rajshahi University Medical Centre denied the allegation of misbehaviour.
The RU unit of BCL suspended Ali from the hall committee and recommended that the central BCL committee suspend Dels. Proctor Prof Tarikul Hasan said they would take stern action after an investigation.
