EATL-Prothom Alo App Contest seminar held at MIST

As part of the EATL-Prothom Alo Apps Contest 2016's nationwide university campaigns, a seminar was held at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). Former Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, A. K. Abdul Monem spoke at the event as a special guest. The contest was organised for young programmers and app developers in Bangladesh by Ethics Advanced Technologies Limited (EATL) and Prothom Alo.

The seminar was regarding the various aspects of smartphone applications. Speaking at the event was MIST's acting Brigadier General K M Salzar Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Head of the Department, Department of Architecture, Brigadier General Md Shohail Hossain Khan, Dean Faculty of ECE, Col. A. B. M. Humayun Kabir, Professor, Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Prothom Alo's Coordinator of Youth Programs Munir Hasan.

The Managing Director of EATL said at the seminar, "An app that can change society, a nation can also change the world. We are also looking for an app that can help change the world for the better. Let the world identify you and your talent and help support our society."

A quiz was also held at the seminar. To be a part of this concept, you must send in your app concepts by the 31st of August. This contest is sponsored by the World Bank, Canada Leeds, Strategic Partner of Information and Communication Department, media partner Channel I along with title partner Prothom Alo.
