First national ICT debate fest kicks off

The National ICT Debate Fest 2015-2016, to be held in 16 regions, started off on Friday from Jahangirnagar University in the Dhaka region. The announcement was made by ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak at a press conference held on last Thursday. Over 400 debaters from 130+institutions will be participating in the festival, and each team member of the regional champion teams will receive a laptop. From the regional rounds, 32 teams will be selected who will then compete in the final rounds. Nahim Razzaque, member of Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry, Shyam Sunder Sikder, ICT Division Secretary and Tonmoy Ahmed, CRI Representative also spoke at the press conference.
