Unico Hospital marks International Women’s Day, launches cancer screening package

Unico Hospital marked International Women’s Day 2026 with a series of programmes and launched a cancer screening package for women.

The programme included a morning rally where participants carried placards highlighting women’s rights and equality, says a press release.

A discussion session followed where invited guests, senior officials and employees took part to recognise the contributions of women.

Shirin Akter Shela, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019, attended the programme as chief guest.

Munira Khan, president of the Fair Election Monitoring Alliance (FEMA), attended as special guest. Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospital, also addressed the programme along with members of the hospital management.

On the occasion, Unico Hospital introduced a health package named “SHE” to encourage cancer screening among women.

The package includes diagnostic tests such as CBC with ESR, CEA, TSH, HbA1c and Breast USG, along with complimentary consultation services.

The hospital said the initiative highlights the importance of regular health screening and awareness among women.
