Shamima Begum new president of BOLD

Shamima Begum has been appointed as the president of the Bangladesh Organization for Learning and Development (BOLD), effective from April 01, 2026.

She succeeds Hamidul Mishbah, who served as president and will continue as a founding trustee board member of the organisation.

Shamima Begum is a founding trustee of BOLD and has been working in the learning and development sector since 2010. She has trained and mentored professionals and worked on developing trainers in areas including project management, operational excellence and change management.

She previously served as president of the PMI Bangladesh Chapter, where she introduced initiatives such as the Project Management Excellence Award and a mentor–mentee programme. She also served as president of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Hatirjheel.

As president of BOLD, she will work with the board of trustees to implement the organisation’s strategic objectives and promote learning, leadership development and professional capacity building across Bangladesh.
