NCC Bank employees to get group insurance coverage from MetLife

NCC Bank has signed a group insurance agreement with MetLife Bangladesh to strengthen employee welfare, financial protection and future security.

M Shamsul Arefin, managing director of the bank, and Ala Ahmad, chief executive officer of the life insurance company, signed the agreement at a ceremony held in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

In his reaction, Arefin said, “Our employees are the main driving force behind the bank’s success; their protection is part of our ‘people-first’ philosophy.”

“This agreement will ensure financial security and peace of mind for employees and their families,” he added.

Ala said, “MetLife’s experience will help provide NCC Bank employees with the necessary protection and foster a positive work culture.”

Under the agreement, employees will receive three levels of coverage: life insurance, hospitalisation and critical illness.

The initiative aims to provide financial support in the event of unexpected life and health risks.

Among others, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, deputy managing director and chief financial officer of the bank; Rishad Hossain, head of human resources; Shahin Akter Nuha, head of transaction banking and cash management; Md Jafar Sadeque Chowdhury, additional managing director and chief distribution officer at the life insurer; Ala Uddin, deputy managing director and chief financial officer; and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, assistant managing director and CCBO, along with other senior officials from both organisations, were also present.
