Dhaka Bank opens 120th branch in Munshiganj

Dhaka Bank PLC has opened its 120th branch in Munshiganj as part of its efforts to expand its banking network.

According to a press release, Sheikh Abdul Bakir, deputy managing director and chief corporate liability officer of Dhaka Bank, and Md Mostaque Ahmed, deputy managing director and chief executive of merchant operations, inaugurated the new branch on September 16.

H M Mostafizur Rahaman, senior executive vice-president and head of the Retail Business Division; Altamas Nirjhar, executive vice-president and head of the General Service Division; regional branch managers; and other senior officials from the bank’s head office attended the inauguration ceremony.

Md Main Uddin Masud, managing director of Munshigonj Fibre & Agro Industries Ltd; representatives of the Developers Owners Association; Professor Ahsan Kabir Chanchal, head of the Department of Botany at Govt Haraganga College, Munshiganj; and Avijit Das Bobby, life governor of Apex Club of Bangladesh, were also present, along with local businesspeople and other guests.

Dhaka Bank said the new branch would bring banking services closer to customers in Munshiganj while supporting its broader efforts to expand its presence, strengthen customer relationships, embrace innovation and promote financial inclusion.
