Ecnec approves 6 projects involving Tk 7,000cr

The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (Ecnec) today approved six projects involving Tk 7,312.55 crore.
The approval came in an Ecnec meeting held at the NEC Conference Room in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. “About Tk 2778.65 crore (out of the total) will come from the fund of Bangladesh government, Tk 312.69 lakh will come from project assistance and Tk 4212.30 crore will come from foreign loan,” Mohammad Shahedur Rahman, senior information officer of the Planning Commission, said in a press release.
Four of the six projects are being implemented by the Roads and Highways Division, the press release added.
