Sajek Valley closed to tourists until further notice

The Rangamati district administration has temporarily closed the Sajek Valley tourist centre from this evening until further notice.

The decision was announced in an emergency public notice signed by Rangamati Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Nazma Ashrafi around 7:00pm.

According to the notice, Sajek Valley tourist centre in Baghaichhari upazila of Rangamati hill district has been temporarily closed due to unavoidable reasons from 6:00pm today until further notice.

Tourists currently staying in the area have also been asked to leave Sajek by 5:00pm on October 13, and return safely to their destinations.
