Dhaka, Chattogram stock exchanges edge up

The Dhaka and Chattogram stock exchanges edged up in the morning trade today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the top bourse in Bangladesh, rose only 4 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 6,227 at 11:36 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 269 crore.

Of the securities, 71 advanced, 39 declined and 158 remained unchanged.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange was almost flat in the first session as the Caspi, the all-share price index of the port city bourse, rose 7 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 18,348.

Of the issues, 21 rose, 15 retreated, and 32 saw no price movement.

Turnover of the port city bourse stood at Tk 1.9 crore at 11:36 am.
