CIMMYT, BLRI sign deal

The Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI) and International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) broadly on research and collaborative works in agriculture and livestock in Dhaka on Monday.

SM Jahangir Hossain, director general of the BLRI, and Timothy J Krupnik, Bangladesh country representative of the CIMMYT, inked the MoU at the former's office in Savar, said a press release.

Rakibul Hasan, senior scientist of the BLRI, was present at the programme attended by all senior scientists and heads of departments from both institutions.
