Sheikh Rehana, Saima Wazed pay homage to Bangabandhu at Kolkata’s Baker Hostel
Sheikh Rehana and Saima Wazed Hossain, daughter and granddaughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, paid homage to the Father of the Nation in Kolkata's Baker Hostel of Maolana Azad College.
They placed wreaths in front of the statue of Bangabandhu yesterday, marking 'Mujib Borsho' (Mujib Year).
The statue was erected at the hostel where he resided during his eventful college life in 1940s.
Bangabandhu was a boarder of room number 24 at the dormitory during his studentship at the then Kolkata Islamia College.
At present, rooms 23 and 24 of the hostel are used as "Bangabandhu Memorial Museum".
