Liberians vote to elect new president

Liberians yesterday started voting to elect a new president in a contest set to complete the country's first democratic transition of power in more than 70 years. The country's 2.18 million registered voters are choosing from a crowded field of 20 presidential candidates and also elect 73 seats to the lower chamber, House of Representatives.
