Woman with coronavirus-like symptoms abandoned at DMCH

A woman showing symptoms similar to Covid-19 infection was left behind by her son in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) two days ago.

Fifty-year-old Monowara Begum Manira's son Mozammel left her in front of the hospital's Gate number 2 after failing to admit her to the hospital, DMCH Police Outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdullah Khan told The Daily Star.

After being informed, DMCH staff took Manira into the hospital yesterday afternoon and started providing her treatment, said master of ward-2 at DMCH Abul Hossain.

She has been suffering from fever and respiratory problems and samples have been collected for coronavirus testing today, Abul Hossain added.
