Google Photos will let you create memes
Google is rolling out a new feature in its Photos app that allows users to generate personalised memes – easily shareable content with humour, emotion or cultural context – using generative artificial intelligence (AI), according to a recent community announcement.
The feature, called “Me Meme”, is being introduced in the United States and enables users to create shareable images by combining their own photos with preset or custom templates. According to Google, the tool is designed to make it easier for people to experiment with their photo libraries and produce light-hearted content for sharing with friends and family.
Me Meme works by prompting users to select a template, either from a set of predefined options or by uploading an image of their own, and then pairing it with a personal photo. The system uses generative AI to produce a completed meme, which can be saved, regenerated or shared directly from the app, as per Google.
