Bangladesh wins 11 awards at International Robot Olympiad 2025

Bangladesh won a total of 11 awards at the 27th International Robot Olympiad (IRO) 2025. Nine students from the country received medals and technical awards in different categories at the international competition.

The International Robot Olympiad is an annual global event that brings together young innovators from around the world to showcase their skills in robotics, coding, and creative problem-solving. More than 30 countries participate each year. This year, the event took place from December 17 to 21 on the Gold Coast, Australia. 

The competition featured several categories across different age groups, including Junior Low, Junior High, and Senior participants. Representing Bangladesh, Mohammad Abdullah Al Titu, a student of Ananda Mohan College, won the gold medal in the Creative category (Senior).

"Winning the gold medal at the IRO 2025 is a proud moment for me. As a robotics enthusiast, it was a dream come true. I am especially honoured to represent Bangladesh on an international stage and inspire other students to follow the path of innovation and STEM excellence. This achievement also motivates me to aim higher in robotics and technology," shared Mohammad Abdullah Al Titu regarding his achievement.

Bangladesh also won six bronze medals across several categories. Nusaiba Tajrin Tanisha of YWCA Higher Secondary Girls School secured two bronze medals in Creative Movie (Senior) and Physical Computing (Senior). Zubaidah Jafrin of Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College won bronze in Physical Computing (Junior Low), while Ridowan Rabbani of Ideal School and College earned bronze in Physical Computing (Junior High). Khondaker Mushfiqul Islam of Dhaka Residential Model College and Priyanti Das of Scholastica School won bronze medals in Creative (Senior).

In addition, four students received technical medals. Mohammad Zarif Bin Saleq of Dhaka Residential Model College and Nafia Basar Suhani of Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College earned technical medals in Physical Computing (Senior). Jaima Jahin Wara of William Carey Academy received a technical medal in Creative (Senior), while Priyanti Das of Scholastica School won a technical medal in Creative Movie (Senior).
