Bangladesh earns honourable mention at International Philosophy Olympiad
Usraat Fahmidah from Rajuk Uttara Model College and Tanvir Rahman Khan from Dhaka College made it to the 40th International Philosophy Olympiad, held in Slovenia from May 27 to 30. Usraat earned the first ever honourable mention for Bangladesh at the event, which was organised online.

An artist’s ticket to success
Emerging artist Imtiaj Rasel won the Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2021, under the public vote category for his artwork, “Journey by Bus”. He was the only Bangladeshi to get nominated for the competition among 30 finalists who were chosen from 19 countries of Asia-Pacific.

Government of UK recognises Dr Tasnim Jara as Vaccine Luminary
The UK government recognised Dr Tasnim Jara, a Bangladeshi, as a "Vaccine Luminary" during the G7 Global Vaccine Confidence Summit. Tasnim is an emergency medicine doctor at National Health Service, England, and a master's student of Evidence-based Healthcare at the University of Oxford. She is the only Bangladeshi to have earned this recognition.

Participants of Sehri Tales 2021 share their experiences
Author and journalist Sabrina Fatma Ahmad initiated Sehri Tales, a creative writing challenge, as a means to battle melancholia five years ago. Today, this challenge has become an anticipated event among many writers. The rules are quite simple: throughout the month of Ramadan, a prompt is given every night, participants must post their work online, following the 250 word limit and the deadline. 2021 was the third year that Sehri Tales was open to the public. Health and Hygiene Olympiad 2021 concludes
For the first time in Bangladesh, Health and Hygiene Olympiad committee organised Health and Hygiene Olympiad, this year. 2,000 participants joined the online Olympiad, along with 250 campus ambassadors across the country. A total of 5000 participants from the remotest areas of the country participated in the offline platform of Health and Hygiene Olympiad 2021.
