GPA exhibition brings new tech startups to the limelight
The Grameenphone Accelerator (GPA) recently hosted a startup exhibition including six teams from their current cohort. The event took place at the GP House on May 30, 2022. GPA is an open innovation platform that provides tech entrepreneurs with the resources they need to establish, grow, and exceed their potential. It is a cohort-based, mentor-led, curriculum-driven platform. ActionAid Bangladesh’s two-day long festival on resilience and culture started on June 2, 2022 at Dhaka.
To celebrate the resilience of the communities of Bangladesh, along with the country’s glorious heritage, culture, and traditions, ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) organised a two-day long festival, titled “Festival of Resilience: People, Planet and Possibilities” which centred around the strength of Bangladesh’s people to strive and rise against all odds. The festival aims to encourage celebration and participation among communities in recognition of their stories of resilience.

Doodling the way to success
Poonam Saha, also known as Doodlebug, is a visual artist who specialises in digital art and interior design. Currently, she works remotely as an art director for an agency in Norway. Saha has always been interested in art. “My friends convinced me to open an online page so that others could see my work,” she shared. She started her page in 2015 and borrowed the name “Doodlebug” from a character in DC Comics.

Anonta’s earnest mission to redesign education for kids
Tod-Learn is a ‘learn through play’ based educational platform designed for kids aged two to six years. Early childhood education occurs before the age of eight, when a child’s brain develops faster than at any other point in their lives, so these years are critical – it is the period which determines their moral outlook, emotional intelligence, and cognitive skills, among other things. Hard to believe, but the month’s almost done. And what a Ramadan it has been! The first one out of lockdown since the pandemic hit, it’s not been an easy one, with the traffic and the heat, and the cholera scare. But at Talespeople, it’s been one long lit party every night, from midnight until dawn. My first shout out is for Tarin, Ariz and Usraat, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the Sehri Tales engine running.
