According to a recent report by the Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies, 86 percent of workers in Dhaka lost their jobs amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
These workers were employed in the transportation sector, shops, hotels, and restaurants. Of them, 7 percent are still looking for work. These individuals' earnings have dropped by an average of 8%.
