Why was ACC official Sharif sacked?

Sharif Uddin, the recently sacked Anti-Corruption Commission official, was posted at the Chattogram office for three years before being transferred in 2021.

He claimed to have made a good reputation there for his anti-corruption activities. Then why was he sacked all of a sudden? Why did the ACC take such prompt action against Sharif over complaints from the very people that Sharif had investigated?

Are the allegations against Sharif true? Or is the ACC protecting the corrupt?
