What is the point in turning forestlands into safari parks?
At least 11 zebras, a tiger and a lioness died at the Bangabandhu Safari Park in Gazipur between January 2 and February 3.
Despite it being one of the largest safari parks in Asia - there is practically nothing to be proud of due to being understaffed, mismanaged and overall proving to be a death trap for the many imported exotic animals.
Is it even necessary to have a safari park in this country?
Is this country even capable of running a safari park? What is gained by abusing animals, imported with taxpayers' money, while simultaneously replacing local flora-fauna and the forestlands?
