How Sholop’s "ghol" became the identity of a train station
Ghol, a dairy based drink that many Bangalees love, has become the identity of Sirajganj's Sholop Railway Station. Back in 1922, Sadek Ali learned how to make ghol while he was visiting Rajshahi. With him, ghol traveled to his village in Sholop, and the essentially unmarked Sholop Station became a lucrative attraction for ghol connoisseurs.
Watch how Sadek Ali's ghol turned a quiet railway station into a bustling market in Inside Bangladesh.
