Freedom fighters reminisce about the house of Ijjat Ali

A group of freedom fighters went back to the house of Ijjat Ali 50 years after it played an important role in the country's liberation.

This house, situated in the border village of Chandrapur in Lalmonirhat district, served as a transit camp during the Liberation War. Five of the freedom fighters who were trained here went on to be awarded the prestigious title of "Bir Protik".

Today, Ijjat Ali is no more. But the history of his house is brought alive by the reminiscences of the freedom fighters who were trained here.
