Diesel price hike: Agro production cost goes up in Rajshahi

Agriculture production in the Rajshahi area has gone up by 30 percent because of rising diesel prices.

Running diesel-powered agricultural machinery for land cultivation, harvesting, transportation, threshing and irrigation has resulted into the increase in production cost, say farmers and agronomists.

As a result, farmers are worried that they might not receive a fair price for their crops.
