Demanding half fare and arrest of bus driver's helper for rape threats

A student of Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College was threatened with rape by a bus driver's helper when she wanted to pay half fare.

Outraged students of the college blocked the capital's Bakshibazar intersection around 10am today, demanding punishment of the accused and half fare for students on public transport.

Students of 6 affiliated colleges of Dhaka University joined them as well.
