Cold wave brings misery in slums and chars of north Bengal

The first significant cold wave of this winter season has hit north Bengal the strongest. Today mercury level fell at 11 degrees Celsius in Kurigram and Lalmonirhat, with thick fog and piercing cold wind throughout the night and almost the entire day.
