Amin Hemrom, a valiant Santal freedom fighter, specialised in guerilla warfare, fought at the frontlines during the Liberation War at the age of 26.

Under the command of Commander Abdus Samad, he, along with other liberation heroes, got hold of Argara Haat in Shibganj, keeping it unoccupied by the enemy until September.
