5,000 families at risk if sand from Pasur River dumped on agricultural land

According to plans by the Mongla Port Authority, the sand lifted during the excavation of the Pasur River would be dumped on 300 acres of Banishanta Union agricultural land.

Locals are afraid that at least 5,000 families who depend on agriculture may be impacted.
