Barcelona have now scored 33 goals in just seven games across all competitions, and their latest victory produced a series of fascinating records and statistics.

Here are seven of the most interesting facts from Barcelona’s 7–2 win.

1. Barcelona have scored 28 goals in six La Liga games

Barcelona now have 18 points from their first six La Liga matches, but their goal-scoring numbers are even more remarkable.

They have scored 28 goals, averaging 4.6 goals per game.

That is the highest total after six matchdays since Sevilla scored 32 in the 1940/41 season. For Barcelona, it is a new club record, surpassing the previous mark of 23 goals, achieved in both the 2011/12 and 1950/51 seasons.

2. The dynamic duo

Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have combined for 16 of Barcelona’s 28 La Liga goals so far.

Raphinha has scored nine, while Yamal has seven.

The last time two players scored at least 16 goals between them during the opening six matchdays was in the 1940/41 season, when both Sevilla and Atlético Madrid achieved the feat with their respective attacking duos.

That means Barcelona have matched a record that has stood for 86 seasons.

3. Raphinha is rewriting Barcelona’s scoring records

Raphinha’s hat-trick against Racing took his tally to 11 goals in seven games this season, including two goals against Feyenoord in the Champions League.

That is the best start to a season by a Barcelona player since Mariano Martín scored 12 goals in the first seven games of the 1943/44 season.

The Brazilian forward is clearly enjoying one of the most prolific starts of his Barcelona career.

4. Lamine Yamal sets a personal record

Lamine Yamal also got on the scoresheet late in the match after continuing to search for his goal throughout the game.

The teenager has now scored in four consecutive La Liga matches, establishing a new personal record.

His continued goalscoring form adds another dimension to Barcelona’s already devastating attack.

5. Barcelona have scored five or more goals in five games

Barcelona’s attacking numbers are extraordinary.

They have scored at least five goals in five of their seven matches this season.

According to the statistic, this is the first time a Spanish side has achieved such a run at this stage of a season.

Only Athletic Club, who lost 2–0, and Levante, who lost 4–2, have avoided conceding at least five goals against Barcelona.

6. Barcelona keep striking early

Another defining feature of Barcelona’s start to the 2026/27 season has been their ability to score early.

Against Racing Santander, they found the net before the 10th minute, making it the fourth consecutive match in which Barcelona have scored inside the opening 10 minutes.

Their fast starts have helped set the tone for a team that has repeatedly overwhelmed opponents with its attacking intensity.

7. The most recent 7-2 was 182 days ago

A 7–2 scoreline is rare, but Barcelona supporters did not have to wait long to see their team produce it again.

Barcelona recorded the same scoreline 182 days earlier, defeating Newcastle United 7–2 in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on 18 March.

For the last time Barcelona won a La Liga match by 7–2, however, you have to go all the way back to February 1993, when Johan Cruyff’s Barcelona defeated Sporting de Gijón by the same scoreline.
