Bangladesh cricket team chief physician Debashis Chowdhury was still unsure of the reasons of the recurring injury of the young sensation, Mohammad Saifuddin, as he talked to the reporters today. The injury of all-rounder, Saifuddin has been a concern for the team for quite some time now as the player missed the match against Australia in the World Cup and the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka due to a back injury.

According to the physician, the player will be taken abroad for further tests to detect any bio-mechanical problems, if there are any.

"We have to detect the problem. However, it is not possible to do the tests in Bangladesh. As a result we plan to take him to a country with the state of the art facility to detect any bio mechanical problems. We need a week more to start all the process as we got the orders today. We will reach out to the ICC accredited institutions which perform such assessments and based on their response we will start the process without any delay."said Debashish.

Saifuddin has had the back problems for nine years now. He was given an injection twice to reduce the pain for the series against Irleand and before the World Cup. Various tests found out he had a facet joint problem however, no remedies were yet to be found.

"Saifuddin is suffering from chronic low back pain. He has been complaining of this injury for 9 years now. After test, we found out that he is suffering from a facet joint problem. We have tried rehabilitation, but it did not work, as a result we gave him injections using which he could play. The pain again started before going to Ireland. So, we consulted a doctor from England and the doctor suggested the same thing as a result, we gave him the injection. The effects of the injection wore off after a few days." said Debashish.
